Both AccessPro and accessiBe are accessibility overlays. Both add user-facing controls to your site without touching your source code. The differences are in pricing, the standards each targets, where each company is based, and what each says about what it can and cannot do. This page covers all of that directly. If you want the regulatory background behind why this comparison matters right now, our FTC context page covers it.

Neither AccessPro nor accessiBe can fix broken keyboard navigation in your source code, repair incorrect ARIA attributes, resolve heading structure problems, or certify WCAG conformance on its own. Those require source-code remediation. That is true of every overlay on the market. If a provider claims otherwise, the FTC’s April 2025 consent order is the relevant reference. AccessPro states this clearly on every page. For the code-level work, our partner remediation team handles that alongside the widget.

Note on metrics: accessiBe prices by monthly visits tracked via SimilarWeb. AccessPro prices by page views. A visitor who loads 4 pages counts as 1 visit but 4 page views. For most sites the price gap remains significant in AccessPro’s favour even after accounting for the difference.
Which tool is better for a Canadian business?
AccessPro is headquartered in Toronto and built with AODA as the primary regulatory framework. Our documentation, support team, and page-level content all reflect Ontario-specific requirements. accessiBe covers AODA and serves Canadian clients, but it is a US and Israel-facing product with Canadian coverage. For businesses whose primary compliance obligation is AODA, AccessPro's home-market focus is a practical advantage.
Does accessiBe work on more platforms than AccessPro?
Yes. accessiBe installs on any CMS via a universal JavaScript snippet, including Joomla, BigCommerce, Drupal, Magento, and others. AccessPro currently supports WordPress, Shopify, Wix, and Squarespace. If your site runs outside those four platforms, get in touch to discuss your setup.
If I switch from accessiBe to AccessPro, will my site lose accessibility?
No. Switching overlays does not affect your source code or structural accessibility. Both tools operate at the browser layer. Your site's accessibility position before and after a switch depends on what is in your code, not which overlay sits on top of it. The switch itself takes about two minutes.
Can AccessPro protect me from an ADA or AODA lawsuit?
Not on its own. No single tool provides legal protection. What reduces risk is a combination: source-code remediation, a user-facing toolbar, a completed accessibility statement, and documented good-faith effort over time. For legal advice specific to your situation, speak with a qualified attorney.
Where can I read about what AccessPro explicitly cannot do?
Our overlay transparency page covers it in full, including the limitations shared by every overlay on the market, not just ours.
